Are We There Yet?

Last weekend I ran the Denver Marathon, I did not get the finishing time I was hoping for, training for, but it was still a good time, 3:31.
Do you ever study really hard for a test or put in a lot of time on a project and not get the result you were hoping for?
I learn something every time I compete. You learn something every time you are faced with task. We don't always end up with the results we want, even though we put our all into it.
I don't give up and you shouldn't either! We are all a work in progress!
Describe an experience that really tested you and you were able to grow from that experience. Thanks for sharing!

  1. The first time that I did cross country in the first meet, I tried as hard as I could to go faster, but I wasn't able to. I would have liked to get first in the meet, but I just didn't have the strength to pass the girl in front of me. I learned that although you tried your best, sometimes it isn't enough and you have to try harder to win next time.

  7. My dad likes to run. He only runs half marathons right now but he runs every day.I tried to keep up with him and almost fainted, mostly because i was still getting used to the altitude at the time.

  14. Wow, you ran a marathon! I wouldn't be able to XD. I remember in Buenos Aires in P.E. we were doing this cross country thing around like 4 football stadiums (the size, not actual stadiums) and I trained really hard but I still got a really bad time compared to everyone else.

  22. Good job Mrs.Webber. It's impresive you can run a marothon without dieing. I want to run marothons some day . My parents both ran marothons and they seem really fun. I know what you mean when you don't get the time you were hoping for. I ran a 5k on Saturday and it was a slower time than I've had in my past races. It was okay though because I was still the first girl to finish in my age group. I've learned that I have to be careful about the way I set my pace on certain courses to get the best possible time. Once again Good job! I admire people who can run that far.
